Why I LOVE Advanced Nutrition Programme supplements – Part 1

Why the Advanced Nutrition Programme? There are hundreds of supplement brands out there, both for your skin and body and all claim to have dramatic results. Why do I support the Advanced Nutrition Programme supplements in particular? Well there are so many reasons that I’ve split this blog into two parts. Covering in part 1 why you need to be taking supplements for your skin in the first place and in part 2, why the Advanced Nutrition Programme really is so different to other brands.

So why pick the Advanced Nutrition Programme? Firstly it’s because of my training. I work with a brand called the IIAA (International Institute of Anti-Ageing) who work with Environ Skincare, Jane Iredale Makeup and Advanced Nutrition Programme Supplements. The work off the philosophy of Feed (supplements) Fortify (skincare) and Finish (makeup).

Once they had come up with this philosophy, they then went about finding brands that fit into their values and Advanced Nutrition Programme, Environ and Jane Iredale ticked all the boxes. I worked with Environ and Jane Iredale and had seen brilliant results from both brands. Therefore, when I learnt about the supplements, I was very excited!

 Skincare Supplements



I had always had an interest in supplementation and skincare nutrition however I had never really seen the results. I had a lot of clients who had great diets and did all the right things at home in terms of supplements but still need treatments and products because their skin wasn’t as good as it should be. It just didn’t make sense to me why all these clients where feeding their skin with all the right things but not seeing results.

I went on the Advanced Nutrition Programme training and my eyes were opened! I discovered that it didn’t really matter how good your diet was because all the nutrition was going to your body not to your skin and also you had to consume such a LOT of food to receive the levels of vitamin and minerals to make a physical change in your skin. For example you needed to eat


  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • Half cup of cantaloupe melon
  • Half cup of cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium grapefruit
  • 5 grapes
  • 1 cup of green tea
  • 1 tablespoon of ground turmeric
  • 3 spinach leaves
  • 1 medium sweet potato
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 10 watercress springs

To get the same amount of nutrition as one dose of your Skin Complete from Advanced Nutrition Programme. That is a lot of food! So technically it is not only better time wise to take supplements but also financially, how much would it cost you to buy all that food, every day!

This is when I realised if you really wanted to see a change in your skin, then you needed to be focusing on supplements, not diet, to really get the high levels of vitamins and minerals that you needed in your skin.
